A workbook to support deaf children learning to identify and process their feelings and emotions.
Deaf children with delayed language development may lack the vocabulary to ‘label’ their feelings. This can delay the growth of personal and social skills, and have a knock-on effect on academic achievement.
This book is a flexible resource. Young children can use the colouring pages and matching games. For older children, use the activities as a basis for role-playing and deeper discussion. The book also includes QR codes linking to videos of British Sign Language vocabulary for feelings and emotions (playlist opens in YouTube).
The topics can be revisited according to the needs of children and the demands of the National Curriculum.
